CLUB MATTERS
The Grand Opening of the newly resurfaced hard courts and the start of the grass court season on Saturday May 1st was a bit of a washout. The Mayor of Exmouth Cllr Darryl Nicholas performed the opening ceremony for the hard courts in the pouring rain but there was no play on the grass courts.
Club sessions on the grass are every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and Saturdays at 2pm, weather permitting, or on the hard courts if it has been wet.
Friday morning sessions for learners and returners run through the summer from 10.30 to 12.30. Non members can pay and play for £5 per morning.
Junior sessions have now ended for this year.
Tournament dates for 2010 are as follows:
The American Tournament planned for July 24th has been cancelled but there will be a normal afternoon club session followed by a BBQAug 7th Mens Handicap Doubles 2.00 start
Finals Day has been changed to Saturday Sept 4th and the last session on the grass courts will be on Thursday Sept 16th.
End of Season get together is on Saturday October 2nd.
